How do I clean my emerald rings?
I have four emerald rings. It’s been ages since I’ve cleaned them and they
really look dirty and have lost their sparkle. Having got tired of these I recently
bought myself another new emerald ring that looks shiny and beautiful. I really
don’t know what to do with the older emerald rings that I have. I love the
designs and each one of them is special so there’s no way I would want to part
with them. If only I knew a way to clean them and get that old luster back.

Pre soak or rinse the jewelry in warm water to remove loose dirt. If rinsing under running water, grip the jewelry firmly or use a sieve deep enough to contain it without risk of loss.

Remove or separate your emerald gemstone from setting before cleaning; and put a soft soapy hand on gemstone but Dont use hot water it can damage the finish on the stone. Finally, avoid sudden temperature changes which could cause color change and cracking in your emerald.

For cleaning any kind of jewelry, firstly boil 1/2 litre of water and mix 1/4 spoon of detergent powder to it. Now place the jewelry that you want to clean into this solution and let it remain for a few minutes. With the help of a soft brush gently rub it over your jewelry. Repeat this process four to five times and watch your jewelry get back its sparkle and shine.

Avoid cleaning emerald with hot soapy water, steam or ultrasonic cleaner. Use mild detergent and avoid solutions that contain petroleum distillates. Do not soak your emerald gems and jewelry in water for long.
